stewart v cramer
“i understand you want to make finance entertaining, but it’s not a fucking game“.
john stewart skewers CNBC financial expert jim cramer on why particularly supposed “MEDIA” people and experts like himself let the market collapse go on without warning when they saw it coming, and possibly even supported it happening by reporting information they knew was either wrong and/or omitting key information, presumably for their won benefit.

When we do what we love, again and again, our life comes to hold the fragrance of that thing. When we hold something in our hands day after day, our hands conform to the shape of what we have held. We become what we have cared for our lives are shaped by what we love….With our every action, word, relationship, and commitment, we slowly and inevitably become what we love.

on authenticity
the other evening i was listening to a radio interview with an old singer named Barbara something (Lewis? i thought it was on NPR but i can’t find it), in which she stated (paraphrased):
To be authentic, the only thing you have to do is believe you are enough. You can’t try to be someone else, to be something you’re not, and still be authentic.
words of wisdom not only for performing artists, but for all of us.
