i agree with Glenn Beck
“I’m not saying God is, you know, causing earthquakes — well, I’m not not saying that either. But I’ll tell you this … There’s a message being sent. And that is, ‘Hey you know that stuff we’re doing? Not really working out real well. Maybe we should stop doing some of it.’ I’m just saying.” — Glenn Beck

i agree with Glenn Beck. “Hey you know that stuff we’re doing? Not really working out real well. Maybe we should stop doing some of it.”
like cutting social welfare programs and laying off teachers while launching missiles at Libya. not gonna work out real well.
or evangalizing misinformed political theories your television show. maybe we should stop doing that too.
whether “God was punishing Japan” is ….well….my belief system doesn’t allow for those theories.
anyway, the irony is, that the thing that makes me agree with Glenn Beck – agree that America is no longer what it once was, that American culture is (hopefully reversibly) fundamentally flawed – is that GLENN BECK IS ON TELEVISION and PEOPLE LISTEN TO HIM. that’s what makes me agree with Glenn Beck about the f*d up state of the world and humanity, albeit from polar opposite worldviews. that Glenn Beck exists. proof in the pudding, right there.

A number of years ago I met Dr. Howard Zinn, author of “A People’s History Of The United States”. I was struck with how optimistic of a person he seemed to be. I asked him about it. He said if you look at American history you can see that things have been improving. If you read his book you can see that. Things weren’t better in the past ( with the possible exception of the economy ).
Even people like the TEA Party and Glenn Beck are not new. Sedition used to be a crime in the late 18th/early 19th century.
If you loved “Peoples’ History” check out Ronald Takaki “A Different Mirror” It’s an amazing multicultural romp through American History… I’m in the Shock Doctrine now by Naomi Klein… killin’ me!!!
When I was a kid I lived in Utah, and the Boy Scouts was taken over by Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS Church). This, so called religion, practices underage polygamy, they send the boy s off on missions to divide the underage sisters among the dirty old men of the clan. Now when these underage girls get pregnant, these same dirty old men, send them to the state to get their welfare checks . You should see some of the palace homes that are paid with welfare checks (not on just one of course). By the way this is the newest religion that was created right here in United States of America, I guess their also in AZ, CA, NM, TX, NV, CO, OK. When someone hides behind religion to do or say something that is wrong we should stand up and point it out (right the wrong). Someone should ask Glenn Beck about it, he seems to have all the answers.
