now *that* is some lighting. it looks like a frickin’ spaceship up in there. i can’t imagine the insanely fanatic energy of that crowd (esp considering the cops got $1.2M in drugs outta the parking lot), but you can hear it here.

it’s funny cause i found the crowd inside very sober…people were there for the music…the people outside probably not so much… which sucks because that article put a negative on such a positve weekend… inside was the best crowd i have ever seen… just smiling… the energy was that people were happy to see them back and the music was amazing.. some of the best phish i have seen.. some more positive articles here… http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03.....phish.html

maybe the crowed inside was sober because the police took all their drugs?
j/k.
i believe it though – even without a drop of anything that crowd would still have been off the hook. i loved that first NYT article (i linked it over there on the right yesterday.)
glad you got to go!
The Allman Bros are playing at the Beacon Theater in NY this week, and a friend just sent me this: “Allman Bros. tonight with special guests Trey & Page from Phish. Should be another awesome show.”
I’ve never seen Phish, and it isn’t until now that I feel I’ve missed out.
you’ll have a chance this summer @ shoreline…..
It looks awesome, one of the teachers at my school today was thoroughly jazzed about Phish going back on tour.
