there was something so perfect about hearing the crowd sing/scream along to Terrible Lie in the middle of las vegas that i have trouble even forming words around it all. or maybe it’s because i’ve been up since saturday morning that i can’t form words. in any case: AWESOME.

My first rock concert was in 3rd grade to see Tiffany.
BUT, my first REAL rock concert was NIN in Oakland at age 14, and it was one of the best shows I have seen to this day. The crowd was awesome too, the big tough-looking dudes in the mosh pit were so nice to the silly young girl with purple hair, didn’t crush me in the pit, and lifted me again and again up above the crowd to “float” on peoples hands. I still get chills thinking about how awesome the whole experience, and the music, was.
I am glad you got to see them and that you had fun!
i WISH that had been my experience - 15 years ago. but alas, this was also fun, despite the fact that we were way in the back and no moshing was allowed.
