spend your friday cuddling at home with your loved ones
raking leaves
basking in sun or fog
reading a long lost book
taking care of yourself
remembering that in other parts of the world,
$100 buys 2 months of education
or a year’s worth of clean water
and be thankful that you are alive and well and loved
instead of wanting what glitters in the darkness.

The only thing I can guarantee is that we won’t buy anything unless its an emergency, i.e. formula, diapers or bananas.
why can’t you buy those things ahead of time?
Oh we do, but emergencies do happen, like, say a cup of water spilling into the formula and turning it into a 20 dollar cake of formula that’s actually worthless.
But we will do our best and will definitely be following the spirit of the day. I’ll probably be depressed because I’ll be missing my back east family. This is the big holiday in my family.
