missing you already

July 17th, 2003

thanks to miss ariel, who sold me her old one, i now have my own digital camera for recording life’s events. for those of you who are wondering where all those other photos came from, previously, i only had my office digi-cam for use and couldn’t really take it anywhere. and that’s why all the daily pictures of me have been in my office.

on tuesday evening i said good-bye to one of my best friends in the world, aimee johnson. we were thrown together by the people who do dorm assignments at Michigan – aimee and her twin sister lived next door freshman year. we then lived in the same house for the rest of college, including sharing an apartment in Washington DC were we both interned during the summer of 1996. after graduation, aimee got a job out here in california working for Mervyn’s/Target corp., and moved to Hayward. jay and i followed shortly, also having California dreams, and moved here a few months after she did. we have all lived happily in the bay area for the past 5 years, but now Aimee’s going to Boston for law school and moving to the other coast. her leaving then marks the first time in 9 years that we’ll be living more than 20 miles apart, and i have been very sad.

so here’s the first official upload of my new/used digi-cam: amy and aimee, not for the last time.
